Tuesday Holy Week Morning Prayer
heyz all...just wanted to share some things about the morning prayers....hmmm it would be nice..if chee wai can blog about wednesday prayer meeting since he will be going tommorrow..
Uncle Vincent shared the word today about the Denying of Christ by Peter before the rooster crowed 3 times. We may not deny Christ verbally but we might have denied him through our Actions, conducts, speech and so on.
Matthew 26: 34
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times."
We should keep ourselves in check so as we do not deny Christ. However not everyone is perfect...but we should always try our best..
Then uncle Vincent went on to talk about how WE, and the CHURCH should be either Hot or Cold but NOT lukewarm(neither hot nor cold).
Hot not in the sense hot after Jesus ( but we should do that too!! =D) but to offer a sense of warmness to the community that people can connect to..
and Cold not in the sense of coldness towards Jesus ( that we should NOT do!! D=) but cold as in when others come to church they feel a sense of refreshness like a cold bath...brrr... but what a wonderful sensation as many of us living in Malaysia will know (=
some key prayer points to note are:
-The new committee members of the EMC
-Preparing our hearts for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter
-Pray for those who has applied Leaves for Good Friday but has yet been approved by boss ( pray that it will be approved)
-Pray for the prompting of the Holy Spirit on those who has yet to decide whether to come or not
p/s-- i hope that you guyz will try to join this morning meeting as it is very refreshing and i can actually feel the presence of God in the morning hours. doesnt matter if you're late. It's still okay...Remember God doesnt look at outward appearances... but rather He knows your heart. all you need is the heart to come before Him.
pp/s-- The older guyz (lou yehs) will be going to Imbi Market for breakfast after prayer for breakfast... the palce reputedly the best for their coffee,teh and bread/buns...me and Aaron didnt taste it because it was closed before we went Singapore haha.!!! so yeah...i think they impliedly invited us to join them... and as Thursday is a Holiday!!!! i hope all the youth leaders will try to make it for the prayer meeting...it is only right that we should participate in prayers..as a nourishment for our soul.
well on a final note... i'll be going to this Thursday's prayer meeting...anybody needs transport..please let me know...and try to make it you guyz (= cya
